In areas of North America where CWD has infected a large number of deer, the herd's age structure begins to break down and bucks may only live to two-and-a-half years of age. The NDG&F's new CWD task force looks to limit the prevalence of the disease in the state and prevent its spread from the five hunting units where it has been detected.
