Archival Anecdotes: Family Values

This photo from the Alice Stanley collection displays the distinct generational differences that comprise a family. Here there are just as many elders present as there are youngsters. Date unknown, and contains many styles of dress, likely late 1940s to early '50s.

Celebratory family photos are something we have all been a part of. Whether the family gets together for Thanksgiving, Easter or a funeral­­, it's often likely that someone will herd all the bodies together for yet another family photo.

Such happenings might not seem like much at the time, but someday they might be treasured deeply.
