Thursday, Janet Laube drove to Devils Lake, renewed her driver’s license, did some shopping and enjoyed dinner at the Cedar Inn before returning home.

Kevin Johnson and Calvin Packard were helpers Tuesday at the Shirley Packard home, replacing shelving in the kitchen.

Travelers Dave and Cheryl Gabbert have parked their “home away from home” at Dave’s brother Brandon’s in Hankinson, and they will be house guests of Brandon in Blain, Minn. awhile. They will make their way to North Dakota and will take in the Steam Threshers Reunion in September.

Wednesday evening, Amanda Bickett was a visitor at the Ken and Marvis home. Amanda helped dad, Ken, with some errands, then the gals played a couple games of Hand and Foot cards.

Martin and Janelle Koepplin stopped briefly one evening at the Aaron and Danielle Koepplin home in Carrington and enjoyed time with the grandkids.

Calvin Packard took mom, Shirley, out and about on necessary errands Wednesday. He helped with reading the Transcript on Saturday, and Kevin Johnson stopped briefly for a visit.

Saturday, grandsons Travis Laube of Fargo and Scott Laube, and friend Malissa of Minnesota, were visitors at the Janet Laube home. They enjoyed visiting over dinner at the Bird Dawg. They did some odd jobs from grandma, enjoyed looking at pictures and too soon it was time to head for home.

Candy Jenson enjoyed a phone call with Cora Koepplin one afternoon.

Janet Laube received a phone call from niece Shelly Nelson on Sunday. It is hot in Oklahoma where Shelly lives.
