Ken and Marvis Holte have heard from Marvis's sister, Ardy Yates of Arkansas, that husband Bob is doing well, recouping from his recent pacemaker surgery.

Jay and Heide Schneider, Caleb and Callie drove to Napoleon over the weekend and enjoyed the activities of Jay’s 35th class reunion. Jay was voted Alumni of the Year. He is son-in-law to Eloise and the late Martin Lucht.

Janet Laube has been a patient at Harvey Hospital since Wednesday, August 4. She was doing fine and hoped to be home with YipYip soon. Beverly Koepplin drove Janet to Harvey and is taking good care of YipYip. Janet did return home Monday, August 9, with help from Beverly. YipYip is again a happy dog.

Todd and Karen Koepplin were among family and friends to take 8th birthday greetings to Chevelle Beckley on Sunday afternoon at the Aaron and Danielle Koepplin home in Carrington. All enjoyed a special cake and ice cream.

Calvin Packard drove mom, Shirley, to a medical appointment in Carrington Thursday. Shirley continues to feel ill effects from the smoky air.

Marvis Holte celebrated her birthday on Monday. Her day started out with daughter Amanda Bickett treating her to treats at the Garden Gate in Carrington. And later, Amanda and Cody Bickett treated mom and husband Ken to supper at the Bordulac Bar and Grill. Marvis also got good wishes for the day with phone calls from son Loren and family of Bismarck, daughter Fayette of Devils Lake and James Birkholz of Minot.

Candy Jenson enjoyed a phone call from son Derik Holte of Minneapolis on Sunday. Derik starts a new job as a sous chef on Monday. Derik is a chef of many cuisines.

Saturday house guest at the Ken and Marvis Holte home was Izzy, a four-legged friend who opted for some time away from home while masters Cody and Amanda Bickett enjoyed supper out and the performance at the Old Church Theatre.
