House guests prior to and over the Fourth of July at the Martin and Janelle Koepplin home were daughter Trisha McMonagle, Wylie and Zaylie from Goodyear, Ariz. They enjoyed time with some other family and friends, and took in the holiday activities in the area.

On July 3, Candy (Koepplin) Jenson, from the class of 1970, celebrated her 51st reunion. It all started with a float in the parade. Then, they were on to the Brown Memorial for a noon meal and lots of visiting and getting reacquainted. Allan Weisenburger was emcee for the program, a memorial to lost classmates and sharing memories. There was a little break, and then all met at the Eagles Club for supper and more memories.

Janet Laube celebrated her 74th birthday in style. Niece Robin Westall of Fargo arrived with two special cakes, flowers and gifts. Off they went to Jamestown for dinner at Janet's favorite eating spot, the Truck Stop, where they met granddaughter Tanya, her spouse and son Gauge, and enjoyed a catch-up visit. Janet received other phone calls filled with good wishes of the day from niece Shelly Nelson of Oklahoma, sister-in-law Lois Ockert of Fargo, and other nieces and nephews and friends.

Todd and Karen Koepplin, Rowdy and Lexie enjoyed the Fourth of July with daughter Allyssa and Ross Lewis, Kenna and Grady in Dickinson, and at a friend's wedding in Bowman.

Judy McKnight and Tony Rademacher were visitors recently at the Shirley Packard home.

Ken and Marvis Holte took in the parade in New Rockford on July 3. They enjoyed a visit from their son Loren Holte, wife Amber and McKenzie from Bismarck, who shared the holiday with them. Amanda Bickett stopped by, and all enjoyed supper at Ken and Marvis’. On the 4th, all were dinner guests. Cody and Amanda Bickett and Izzy stopped in for a visit and all enjoyed the parade in Carrington. Loren and family later drove to Devils Lake and enjoyed a visit with Loren’s sister, Fayette Nelson.

Candy Jenson was among family to enjoy visiting over a banquet of food, in celebration of the Fourth of July, at the Terry and Sandy Koepplin home.

Taylor and Amanda Koepplin and Evelyn enjoyed the evening of July 3 with family at the Dennis and Fran Walen home, and on July 4 with family at the Tim and Bobbi Jo Indergaard home. Yeah for the fireworks!

Dave and Cheryl Gabbert are noted to have left Maryland and are headed to upper New York.

Friday, brief visitors at the Shirley Packard home were Willie and Linda Lies of Fargo. The Lies’ visited Tim Hartl in Sheyenne, and at the Sandy Lies farm. Then it was back to Shirley’s for supper, a little music at the Eagles Club, then back overnight at Shirley’s. Saturday, they took in the parade in New Rockford and later headed home to Fargo.

Saturday dinner guest and reader at the Shirley Packard home was Calvin Packard.
