Sort through those closets and turn that stash into cash! This year, the sister cities of Eddy County are teaming up to bring you the Sister Cities Garage Sales, and residents of both communities are welcome to register their sales now.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the citywide sales in New Rockford, and the Sheyenne Civic Association is sponsoring Sheyenne’s event.
New Rockford residents can register their sale at Bakers Dozen or the Transcript office. For $5, your address will be listed on the sale map, and promoted both on radio and in the newspaper. Payment is required in advance to secure a spot in the sale.
Sheyenne residents should call Patti Larson at 701-996-3531 to register their sale. The weekly Sheyenne Farmers’ Market will be held in conjunction with the citywide sales, and vendors are welcome for that as well.
Registrations must be received by Tuesday, July 27 to be included on the maps and ads. Contact Amy at 701-947-2417 or Patti at 701-996-3531 with any questions.
An ad listing the addresses of all participating garage sales in both communities will be published in the August 2 edition of the Transcript. Maps of all registered sales will be distributed free to shoppers, and participants will be provided with yard signs to mark their sales.
