Summer Street Market comes to downtown New Rockford Thursday

This Thursday, June 17, make it a fun evening out and enjoy the Summer Street Market in downtown New Rockford.

From 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., there will be a variety of vendors set up in Centennial Park, including Kathy Anderson, Clean Little Boys Soap, Color Street Nails, Richerson Resin, Marty Larson-Marty's Makings, Haley Brandvold crafts, Pampered Chef, R&J Crafts, Mary Estrem and more!

The downtown businesses also have great deals in their stores. Central Pharmacy will be open regular hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with 20% off gifts, and an extra 20% off all clearance items. 8th St. Boutique will be open from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with great new summer apparel.

At Transcript Publishing, shoppers can pre-order from their new line of New Rockford-themed apparel and souvenirs, which includes tees, hoodies, hats, mugs, tumblers and shot glasses. All in-stock apparel is on sale for 25% off the regular price from noon to 7:00 p.m.

Miller's Fresh Foods will be serving up coke floats from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in front of the store. A free will donation will be taken, with all proceeds going to the Wonder Lanes bowling alley. Take advantage of the in-store specials on 12-packs of Coke products and 4-quart pails of Cass Clay vanilla ice cream as well.

The New Rockford Eagles Club will host a fundraiser for Wonder Lanes. Purchase unique garden art that NR-S elementary students made from repurposed bowling balls. A taco-in-a-bag meal will be served for a free will donation, with all proceeds to Wonder Lanes.

The Summer Street Markets are sponsored by the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation and the New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce, to encourage local shopping and support for New Rockford merchants.

Save the dates for future Summer Street Markets, set for July 8 at the Potter Pavilion and then back in Centennial Park on August 19. Vendors interested in participating in the July or August street markets should contact NRABC Executive Director Amanda Hegland at (701) 947-2205.
