Glenn and Judy Cudworth enjoyed house guests, grandson Glenn Yri of Texas for 10 days, and grandson Aaron Yri of Hawaii for eight days. Other grandchildren visiting from afar were Morgan Erhardt of Missouri and Jack Erhardt of Michigan. The Cudworth’s daughter, Cheryl Erhardt of Illinois, has been visiting here for a couple of weeks. All enjoyed a special Mother’s Day together.
Niece Shelly Nelson, of Oklahoma, called Janet Laube on Sunday to report she is getting along well and loves Uncle Leo’s pickup more every day.
Wednesday morning, Shirley Packard rode to Fargo with Joan Jaeger and Jane Guthmiller, where she was a visitor at the Willie and Linda Lies home. In the afternoon, the gals visited with Barb Lies at Bethany Homes, finding her in good spirits. Thursday, Shirley kept an eye appointment with Dr. Max Johnson at the Retina Clinic in South Fargo. That afternoon found them visiting the Rodney and Marvel Ebenhahn home, where they had a good catching up chat over coffee and cookies. They also got to visit with Tim Hartl, who had stopped at the Ebenhahn home. Friday morning, Linda and Shirley hit some rummage sales in Fargo, and Shirley’s daughter Cindy Toben arrived at the Lies home to pick her up. They made detours in Jamestown and Carrington before making it back to New Rockford. Saturday, Shirley and Cindy drove to Devils Lake, did some shopping and enjoyed supper at The View in the Spirit Lake Casino. Cindy left for her home on Sunday. It was a wild but fun weekend.
Sunday, Ken and Marvis Holte enjoyed dinner at the Cody and Amanda Bickett home in celebration of Ken’s 76th birthday. A special rhubarb cake topped the meal off. Ken also received greetings of the day from son Jerrod, and sister-in-law Penny Sorrells. He learned from Penny that her son Bryce and a friend had taken lessons in mountain climbing and had met the challenge of climbing Mt. St. Helens.
Tuesday, Shirley Packard and son Calvin visited Prairie Home Cemetery and decorated several family grave sites.
Sunday evening helpers at the Shirley Packard home were Todd Harrison and Alex. They moved some items to the boulevard for pickup during clean up week.
