Bill and Diana Ziegler, Kim Brown, Dianne Goebel, Wayne Sogge, and Duff and Sandy Settelmeyer were among those who attended the monthly meeting of Circle Trail Riders, on Monday evening, at Hanson’s Bar.

Sister-in-law Lois Ockert, and daughter Rhonda, brought Janet Laube and YipYip from Fargo to the truck stop in Jamestown on Wednesday, where they met Charlotte Koepplin and Candy Jensen. The gals enjoyed visiting over supper. Janet and YipYip returned home with Charlotte and Candy. Janet had been a house guest of Lois’ for several days and had undergone cataract surgery while in Fargo. She is doing fine.

Martin and Janelle Koepplin, Karen Koepplin and Charlotte Koepplin were among other family members who attended the baptisms of Hendrix Aaron Koepplin, Carter Beckley and Chevelle Beckley on Saturday at the Confederated Church in Carrington.

Wednesday visitors at the Shirley Packard home were Willie and Linda Lies of Fargo. Evening visitor was Tim Hartl.

Shirley Packard received word that her daughter Cheryl, and Dave Gabbert of Minnesota, had officially started their summer vacation on May 1. With their sights set on traveling to the state of Virginia, they will visit the William (Billy) Womacks family in Virginia Beach.

Eloise Lucht heard from her children on Mother’s Day; Alan Lucht and family from Germany, where it was in the 80’s one day and snow and rain the next. They have had their Covid shots and all is okay in Germany. Larry and Irene Lucht of Virginia are excited about their trip to North Dakota come June. Eloise also got Mother’s Day greetings from daughter Heidi and Jay Schneider, Caleb and Callie, and son Scott, from Minnesota.

Mother’s Day found Ken and Marvis Holte enjoying dinner at the Rockford Café. Marvis was among the mothers there to receive a mum plant from the Lions Club. Marvis received phone calls, filled with good wishes for the day, from daughters Amanda and Fayette, and son Loren and family.

Saturday, son Jerrod and Angie Holte of Mapelton, treated their mom, Candy Jensen, to an early Mother’s Day dinner in Devils Lake. Candy got Mother’s Day greetings via a phone call from son Derik Holte of Minneapolis, and niece Teresa Sather of Fargo. And, she got the news that her brother Rick Koepplin is in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks waiting for another shoulder surgery.

Thursday, Shirley Packard rode the South County Transit of Valley City to Fargo for an eye appointment.

Mother’s Day, Shirley Packard enjoyed phone calls from daughter Cheryl and Dave Gabbert, son Craig Packard of Minnesota, and daughter Cindy Toben of South Dakota.

Brief visitors at the Candy Jensen home were Christa Koepplin, Brooklyn, Destiny and James and Cora Koepplin.

Janet Laube received Mother’s Day phone calls from Lois Ockert, Shelly Nelson and a granddaughter Tonya, of Mandan.
