Hartl clinches competition

New Rockford-Sheyenne alum Tessa Hartl, daughter of Tom and Dawn Hartl, was recently announced as being among the winners of the 2021 Schubert Club vocal competition. The competition spans much of the Midwest, including the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Tessa won a prize of $1,500, which will be set aside to help fund her studies in graduate school starting in 2022, where she plans to continue honing her voice and love of music. Her dream is to perform the great opera classics in Europe one day.
