Obituary: Jerry Larson

Jerry Larson, 73, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Devils Lake, N.D.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 16 at Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford, N.D. Burial was held at Riverside Cemetery, Sheyenne, N.D. Pastor Jeff Halvorson officiated the service. Honorary bearers were Felix Littlewind, Tommy Lee, James Pool, Ronny Larson and Raymond Dunn. Military honors by Raymond B. Thorn American Legion, Post #30, New Rockford and the North Dakota Army Funeral Honors team.

Jerry Marcus Larson was born on Aug. 27, 1947, to John and Irene Larson at home. He grew up and attended school in Sheyenne, N.D. During his time at Sheyenne Public School, he was a member of the football and basketball team. After high school, Jerry joined the army and was deployed to Germany during the Vietnam war. After his time in the army, he returned to his hometown to reside with his wife, Kathy.

During Jerry's life, he enjoyed many things such as fishing, playing basketball with his daughter, making people laugh, and winning at his favorite game - Aggravation.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, Sheyenne; daughter, Angela Larson, Grand Forks, N.D.; granddaughters, Carrie Larson and Keana Hagman, both of Grand Forks; great-granddaughter, Carly Gunville; sisters Shirley, Dolly, Jennie and Bonnie and brother, Rodney, Sheyenne.
