Trailriders hold monthly meeting

The February Trailriders 4-H meeting was held at the Evangelical Free Church on Feb. 21. At the meeting 11 kids were there, but two were on Zoom.

We talked about what we are going to do in the next meetings and months. We also talked about what projects we are going to do in the coming couple months. We did two art projects. The older kids did barbed wire, while the younger kids did cookie-in-a-jar.

As shown in in the photo at right, the older kids were working with barbed wire, bending the wire and eventually turning it into clovers. The other half of the group were measuring and combining all the dry ingredients necessary for cookies in jars. They were using quart mason jars to put the ingredients in. The recipe was for M&M and chocolate chip cookies.

After the art projects we had pudding for a snack. Then we got to play a game to finish the meeting! The next meeting is on March 21 at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church.
