The postcard print is one of the many found in Alice Stanley's collection at the Eddy County Museum. It dates to the late 1890s and uses strong components of Victorian fashion to convey an image of safety and protection in the face of danger. Made by Page Woven Wire Fence of Adrian, Mich.

By now, it must be apparent to readers that the Eddy County Museum has a hearty collection of artifacts dating to the early 1900s.
