Deer Herds Strong at Midseason

Take it Easy. The state's whitetail deer are finding easy conditions statewide at the halfway point of winter with limited snow and mild temperatures helping buoy hopes of strong over-winter survival.

With warmer-than-average temperatures and little snow cover to impede their travel and foraging, North Dakota's deer herds are doing well, according to Jason Smith, Big Game Biologist with the North Dakota Game & Fish Department (NDG&F).
