Upcoming presentations offer resources and guidance for family members of those with Alzheimer's

Alzheimer's and other dementias cause memory, thinking, and behavior problems that interfere with daily living. An upcoming virtual presentation, participants will learn how to recognize common signs of the disease; how to approach someone about memory concerns; the importance of early detection and benefits of a diagnosis; possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process, and Alzheimer's Association resources.

This free virtual presentation titled “10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s” will be hosted by the Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 6-7 p.m.

The Alzheimer’s Association is also offering a free virtual presentation titled “Living with Alzheimer’s for Caregivers: Middle Stage” on Tuesday, January 26 from noon – 3:00 p.m. During this presentation, caregivers and professionals discuss helpful strategies to provide safe, effective and comfortable care in the middle stage of Alzheimer’s. This project is supported by funding granted through the North Dakota Department of Human Services, Aging Service Division.

Both presentations are free and open to the public, but registration is required. Call 701-277-9757 or email [email protected] to register for either class.
