Mya Cudworth finished with nearly half of the Rockets' points in a 35-28 win against Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier Monday night, December 21, in Edgeley.
Cudworth, a junior, had 15 points, including a three-pointer, and the Rocket defense held the Rebels to nine points combined in the second and third quarters to get their first victory of the season.
NR-S would emerge victorious in spite of a six-point difference at the foul line (2-for-4) compared to E-K-M (8-for-13).
The Rebels of Region 3 and District 5, who fell to 2-2 with the loss, were paced by Norah Entzi's 11 points.
