Outdoor notes:

*Ice is never completely safe. Avoid areas with vegetation, moving water, pressure ridges, and springs. Check conditions as you go along on the ice.

*Darkhouse spearing open on lakes where it is allowed when ice conditions permit safe access.

*North Dakota state parks remain open with trails usable for hiking. Check with individual parks for other available amenities this winter.
