Memorial dedicated at St. John's Cemetery

On Sunday, August 23, families gathered at St. John's Cemetery for a very special dedication ceremony. Lily's Hope, a local ministry founded by three families, hosted the event to dedicate a monument to memorialize the infants lost during pregnancy or following birth. In the photo above, Sarah Smith Warren and son Milo take a moment to lay a yellow rose down in memory of the loss of infants in their family. To date, several area families have requested name etchings to be included on the monument. In addition, the dedication ceremony included the blessing of the monument as well as a bench to be used for reflection. The space is open and welcome for anyone who would like to go there to grieve and reflect on the loss of their infant.
