Pink Sox

On Tuesday, July 21 the Pink Sox headed to Devils Lake to avenge their Ponytail League champion status from 2019.

They had a bye in the first round, and took on Devils Lake 2 in the semifinal round after recording just three losses in the entire season. At the mound for the Pink Sox was Lora Wobbema. Devils Lake was up to bat first, scoring two runs. The Pink Sox fought back hard, scoring three in inning one. Inning two Devils Lake scored nothing and Pink Sox score three more points. The defense came out to play for both teams in the third, as neither was able to score for the remainder of the game. The Pink Sox won the game 6-2 and headed to the championship game against Harvey.

Unfortunately in between the Pink Sox's semifinal contest and their championship game, the team was told some bad news. The three oldest players – Kelsie Belquist, Katie Allmaras, and Lora Wobbema – were informed that they were not eligible to play in the championship. League rules state that players must not be older than 13.

Minus a few of their leaders, the Pink Sox took the field for the championship game. Harvey batted first. Pitching for this game were Logan Cudworth and Paige Knatterud. Harvey scored three in the first, and held the Pink Sox. In the second inning neither team scored. Harvey dominated the field for the rest of the game, scoring six runs in the last three innings and shutting out the locals. The final score was
