Sommerfeld Scholarship awarded to Larson

Environmental engineer student Sandra Larson, of Sheyenne, N.D., has been awarded the Sommerfeld Scholarship for the 2020-21 academic year at the University of Minnesota. The scholarship was granted by the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo-Engineering at UM– Twin Cities, and is awarded in recognition of both academic and extracurricular achievements.

Sandra has been actively involved as a subgroup leader in the Engineers Without Borders chapter, a member of the University Band, and a resident of the Women In Science & Engineering (WISE) community. She looks forward to getting back to campus and competing in the Quiz Bowl Club. Sandra is a 2019 NR-S graduate and is the daughter of Peter and Patti Larson.
