The City of Sheyenne election was held last Tuesday. Ken Ames and Richard Hoffner received votes to retain their seats on the city council. No one filed for the two park board positions.

Write-ins with the most votes were Elvis Thumb and David Chenze, Jr.

Voters also approved the publishing of the city minutes in the “New Rockford Transcript” newspaper.

Work is progressing nicely on the addition to the Sheyenne Fire Dept. building, with the roof up and the siding about ready to go on. It is a much-needed and welcome addition for the fire department.

Stay safe everyone!
