Special company and helpers Thursday at the Candace Jensen home were her brother, Rick Koepplin and his grandson James of Devils Lake. Rick returned late Friday with grandson and three granddaughters to help Auntie Candy too. They were overnight guests.

On Mother's Day, Shirley Packard and Calvin were happy to attend worship service at Grace Lutheran Church in Carrington. Later, Calvin brought dinner to Mom. Shirley enjoyed greetings of the day from all of her children near and far.

Heidi, Alan, Larry and Scott, children of Eloise Lucht and their families, called with Mother’s Day greetings. Many had sent cards, gift cards and flowers. Eloise also enjoyed a phone call from her sister, Ann Wheeler from Alaska.

Saturday supper guests to celebrate Mother’s Day a little early at the Todd and Karen Koepplin home were Martin and Janelle Koepplin and Charlotte Koepplin. All enjoyed an exciting game of rummy 5000.

Bill and Diana Ziegler, Duff Settelmeyer and Kim Brown were among those who attended the monthly meeting of the Circle Trail Riders Inc., at Hanson’s Bar on Monday evening.

Janet Laube received Mother’s Day phone calls from family including Travis Laube, Robin Westall, Carlys Newfeld and Lois Ockert.

Janelle Koepplin enjoyed Mother’s Day calls from daughter Trisha and Jay McMongale, Wylie and Zaylie and the delivery of a lovely flower arrangement from son, Aaron and Danielle Koepplin and kids and a grilled steak supper at son, Todd and Karen Koepplin’s.

Marvis Holte celebrated Mother’s Day, receiving calls filled with good wishes of the day from son, Loren Holte and family, daughters Amanda Beckett and Fayette Nelson, and a call from a sister, Ardy Yates of Arkansas. Ardy had canceled her summer trip here due to COVID-19.

Eloise Lucht kept an eye appointment, Wednesday, at the eye clinic in Devils Lake. She came home with good reports.
