Obituary: Helen Rosenau

Helen Rosenau, 81, of Bordulac, N.D., died peacefully May 1, 2020, Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown, N.D. A private funeral service was held May 5, at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington, N.D. Burial will be at the Carrington Cemetery. Rev. Rick Loewen officiated with special music by Jodi Burr. Casket bearers were Titus Timm, Tanner Timm, Chase Rosenau, Caylor Rosenau, Jayden Rosenau, Savanna Benson, Michael Myers, Sara Myers, Justin Myers, Lukas Rosenau, Tyler Rosenau, Nolan Kratz and Kohl Kratz.

Helen Bernice Neumiller, was born Dec. 22, 1938, to Theodore and Jennie (Radke) Neumiller in Heaton, N.D. Helen was educated in Carrington and graduated in 1956, from Carrington High School. She then continued her education at Valley City State University earning her teaching degree in 1961.

On Jan. 5, 1961, Helen was united in marriage to Gary Rosenau at the Federated Church in Carrington. She taught in a one-room school house north of Pettibone. She also taught in Sykeston, Bordulac and Nordmore Township.

In 1971, Helen became owner and manager of Rosenau Seed and Supply. Then in 1990 she and Gary started a recycling business called 4R's Recycling. She was president of the Stutsman County Recycling.

Helen was an active member of the Federated Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and President of the Federated Guild. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and Senior Citizens Center.

Helen is survived by her loving husband; four children: Tanya (Curt) Timm, Kensal, Troy (Jane) Rosenau, Thad (Ronda) Rosenau, both of Carrington and Tyrone (Sheri) Rosenau, Jamestown; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters Lois Weber and Sherley Fruhwirth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; Gordon, Glen and Virgil Neumiller and one sister Gloria Thiesen.
