NR-S SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION: Vote by absentee ballot

The New Rockford-Sheyenne School Board election will be held on Tuesday, June 9 by absentee ballot only. The absentee ballot application and instructions is available on the school website and Facebook page, or can be sent via email or mail upon request. Com­pleted absentee ballots may be mailed to the school in an envelope provided or placed in the dropbox. The dropbox shall be located outside the front door of the school from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, the day be­fore the election. Mailed ballots must be postmarked

on or before June expire 8, 2020. Two terms expire this year— that of Mike Schaefer and John Grann. Mike Schaefer has filed for the three­ year position from the former New Rockford District that he currently holds, and Travis Benson has filed for the three-year position from the former Sheyenne District that John Grann currently holds.

Candidacy for each school board position is deter­mined by residency within defined geographic areas of the district, but all eligible voters of the school dis­trict may vote for each position.
