Shirley Packard was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from Ruby (Kaul) Simmons of Idaho where they are fine and coping with COVID-19.

Janet Laube gave niece Brenda Nealis a phone call Sunday to see how things were going in Cashion, Okla.

Thursday, Karen Koepplin drove to Dickinson where she enjoyed a couple of days with daughter Allyssa and Ross Lewis and Kenna Lynn.

Friday, Calvin Packard and mom, Shirley drove to Carrington to take care of some business. Later Kevin Johnson and Calvin were brief visitors at Shirley’s.

Dorothy Senske has been busy making a favorite, oatmeal cookies, to share and Holly Zieman has been delivering them to folks. Ken and Marvis Holte sure enjoyed their cookies.

Dave and Cheryl Gabbert have driven their motorhome to Clear Lake, S.D. to Cheryl’s sister Cindy and Clark Toben’s for storage. On May 8,Cindy will be retiring from 33 years of teaching.

A sad phone call came to Janet Laube on Saturday, May 2 of the passing of Don Guilbault, husband of Janet’s sister Janice (Longnecker) in Yuma, Ariz.

Thursday, Amanda Beckett and Izzy had a steps to hallway chat with Dad and Mom, Ken and Marvis Holte. The Holte’s also enjoyed a surprise visit with Marvis’ brother Corey Birkholz, car to yard, as Corey was en route from a business meeting in Harvey to his home in Grand Forks. The Holte’s received a letter and package of masks for spares from Marvis’ sister Ardy (Birkholz) Yates from Arkansas.
