Archival Anecdotes: The little things

I promise. This is the last winter photograph I plan to share for a while- at least until October.

This photo, selected from the Eddy County Museum archives, is titled "Cold Lunch" and was taken in the early 20th century. (I've been trying to date that coffee can, but with no such luck.)

The three women pictured here are not known. If you know happen to recognize them, I'd love to know more! Regardless of their names, what strikes me most about this photo (and all the snow pictures I've shared these past few months) is how happy the people seem to look despite the uncomfortable cold.  

You can tell, just by the expressions on their faces, that these are resilient people!
