Locals advance to state Knights of Columbus free throw contest

Five students from New Rockford- Sheyenne School participated in the Region #6 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest held in Valley City on March 1.

All age group winners shot a total of 25 free throws. There were two local winners: 9-year-old MacKenzie Allmaras and 12-year-old Logan Cudworth.

Kaiya O'Connor is also headed to the state contest. She received second place in the 13-year-old girl's division, and the first place winner deferred. Therefore, she will represent the region at the state contest as well.

Congratulations to all five kids for participating and good luck to MacKenzie and Logan at the State Contest which will be held at St. Mary's High School in Bismarck on March 28.
