This handwritten valentine is certainly one of a kind. Written in 1890, it pre-dates any trending valentine fad. This year, why not take the time and write out something special with pen and paper for the person you love.
A Valentine for Frankie
Love is a wonderful thing isn't it?
They say it knows no bounds, and perhaps that is true. On Feb 14, 1890, Frank Thompson recieved a thoughtfully penned valentine that now resides in the Eddy County Museum.
It reads:
As the grass grows round the stump
I choose you for my sugar lump.
As the grapes hang on the vine
I choose you for my valentine.
And just who signed...
