Rockets best Hornets

It was a hard-fought and fast-paced game as the Rockets defeated Harvey-Wells County by a final score of 65-45 in District 7 Boys Basketball action, played here on Tuesday, Jan. 28. New Rockford-Sheyenne led virtually all the way, and at all quarter stops, 21-13, 38-24, 49-38 and the locals gradually pulled away in the fourth and again came away with a 65-45 win.

The Hornets are a very young team that could have a bright future. A very good crowd of Rocket fans were on hand. Tyson Tipton paced the visitors with 19 points. Bo Belquist and Hunter Thompson each had a game-high 26 points for the locals. Harvey-Wells County made 17 field goals, 4 of 5 free throws and committed 10 fouls. New Rockford-Sheyenne made 27 field goals, 8 of 13 free throws and committed 10 fouls. The Rockets improve to 2-1 in District 7 and are now 7-3 overall.

Saturday, Feb. 8, the Rockets travel to St. John game one begins at 2 p.m.
