Obituary: Vickie Freih

Vickie R Freih, 69 of New Rockford, N.D., passed away peacefully at Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo, N.D. while surrounded by her family and Sanford Hospice.

Vickie was born May 4, 1950 in Ellendale, N.D. to Edward and Ruby (Fox) Freih. She lived with her family until 1958, when she moved to the Development Center at Grafton, N.D. She remained there until 1986 when she moved to New Rockford, and began receiving services from 4th Corporation Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) home.

Vickie liked to go to church. Puzzles were a favorite task. Vickie often stacked pegs and kept herself busy. She especially liked to receive greeting cards of any kind and showed them to everyone at the center in New Rockford.

Vickie is survived by sisters: Ruth (Gary) Bendewald Moorhead, Minn., and Patricia (Michael) Hermansen of Aberdeen, S.D., and many cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Julie Felcyn, brother Edward Freih, half-brother Ronald Watkins and half-sister Karen Anderson.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Aberdeen, S.D.
