Obituary: Earl Stokke

Earl John Stokke, 66, New Rockford died Dec. 10, 2019 in Ave Maria Nursing Home in Jamestown, N.D. Earl's celebration of life was held Dec. 21 at Hanson's Bar in New Rockford.

He was born Nov. 6, 1953 in New Rockford, the son of Earl and Vennoy Stokke. He attended schools in Eddy and Wells County, graduating from Cathay High School in Cathay, N.D.

He worked for an elevator construction company for a few years before going to work for Rocky Mountain Geophysical. He then worked for Swingen Construction Company of Grand Forks and finally for Dakota Growers Pasta Co. of Carrington, ND.

Earl is survived by his siblings: MarJean (Jeff) Pfau, New Rockford, Allen (Nancy) Stokke, Ripon, Calif; Nelson (Beverly) Stokke, Bandon, Ore; Scott (Cris) Stokke, Buffalo, N.D., Nancy (Daniel) Lies, Jamestown, N.D. and Emily Gjestvang, Jamestown, N.D.; nieces and nephews: Travis and John Pfau, Melodie Flora and Harmony Morgan, Brian and Brady Stokke, April Reade, Robert Lies, Erika Kramlick, Bethany Gurrieri and Shawn, Kelly and Mark Gjestvan; great nieces and nephews, Emerson and Elliot Pfau, Cooper Pfau, Lacy and Paris Flora, Weston Readel, Lilian, Liam and Levi Lies and Walker Gurrieri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
