Over the Thanksgiving holiday, Jake, Amanda, Fallyn and Piper Hegland went to Jamestown and spent time with Amanda’s family. Saturday, Dec. 7, the Hegland’s went to Grand Forks and attended a Shriners Patients Christmas party that was hosted by KEM Shriners.

Tom and Pam Schmid went to Hampden Sunday to visit Pam’s dad, Bud Hermanson.

Lester Roberts took in the Medora Christmas Show Wednesday night at the Lake Region State College Auditorium. Chad Getscher visited Lester Saturday evening. Sunday visitors were his brother, Roger and his daughter, Lezlee Thorson.

Randy and Charlotte Simon left on a trip to Williamsburg, Va., Dec. 3. They toured Colonial Williamsburg and Revolutionary Yorktown and Jamestown. They went to Bush Gardens and attended many shows there. Randy and Charlotte enjoyed all the beautifully decorated trees and Christmas lighting. The Simons also visited Charlottesville and Monticello. It was a 29-hour drive to get there as well as to get home. They went through 11 states. They stayed at Kings Creek Plantation in Williamsburg. Randy and Charlotte returned to their home on Sunday.

Beau and Brittin Buehler visited Grandpa Todd Thursday and Friday afternoon. Doug Gilliss and John Rice visited Todd Friday afternoon. Johnny Rice and Dave Kenner of Maddock visited Todd on Saturday to watch the Bison game. Beau and Hunter attended the Bison game in Fargo Saturday. They took Grace Ihry out for supper following the game. Beau, Bria and Brittin visited Grandpa Todd and Grandma, Nadley and Hunter Sunday afternoon.  

Donna and Lacey Grann went to Minot on Saturday for a little shopping. Ben and Brittany Grann went to Bathgate over the weekend to visit her dad and take in the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at Reiny’s Bar on Saturday. Amanda Johnson from Minnewaukan joined the Grann’s in making lefse on Sunday afternoon.

Dave and Linda Madson traveled to Jamestown Thursday evening and were overnight guests at Shawn and Cathy Caulfield’s home. Paul and Carrie Prince were also overnight guests at the Caulfield’s. Friday morning, Dave and Linda accompanied Shawn and Cathy and Carrie and Paul took their own vehicle and the group left for Spearfish, S.D. Friday evening was spent visiting at the Todd and Jo Johnson home. Nathan Madson of Denver and his girlfriend, Bailey of Sheridan, Wyoming and Haley Madson were also there. Nathan and Haley are Dave and Linda’s grandchildren— son and daughter of Neal and Jo Madson Johnson. Saturday morning, the group attended Haley’s college graduation ceremony at Black Hills State University. Haley graduated Magna Cum Laude and Dave and Linda are very proud grandparents. Following graduation, Shawn, Cathy, Dave, Linda, Carrie and Paul went to the Johnson Family’s home for some lunch and graduation cake and visiting etc. The Caulfields, Madsons and Princes returned to Jamestown on Sunday and after some coffee and visiting, the Madsons returned to Devils Lake and the Prince’s returned to Oberon.
