Semi hit by train

A crash involving a semi and a train occurred on Nov. 7 at 11:03 a.m. The driver, named as Arlo Stedman, 82, of Glenfield was operating at 2000 International Harvester when he failed to stop for a railroad crossing at 15th Street NE at a railroad crossing three miles south and five miles east of New Rockford.

Stedman was traveling westbound on 15th Street NE from a soybean field to a rural grain elevator west of New Rockford. The freight train was traveling in a northwest direction towing 83 freight cars from Dilworth, Minn., to Minot.
