4-H Trail Riders elect officers

The 4-H trail riders held their first meeting of the year on Sunday, Oct. 20.  

The Helseth family provided snacks. Elections were held for officers and there were nine members were present.

Here are the results:

• Mason Schuster, treasurer

After discussing plans for future projects, club members did an art painting led by Jean Schuster.  

The technique she shared was called “acrylic pour.” We used a variety of acrylic paints mixed Elmer’s Glue-All, and spray-silicone in cups. Then what we did was put the paint on the canvas and spread the colors to coat the canvas.

The adults in the group then applied heat to the canvas, which created ‘‘cells’’ of color.

The paintings are now drying and we will pick them up at the next meeting.
