Elementary girls wrap up season of hoops

Each year, elementary girls seize the opportuntity to get on the court and develop their basketball skills.

This year’s crop of fourth through sixth grade girls included, starting in back from left: Kaci Weisenburger, Logan Cudworth, Ava Peterson, Emma Belquist, Karsyn Wetzel.

There were eight regular season games on the schedule this year. Practices began as soon as school started, and the first game was held on Sept. 6 vs. Carrington.

The girls had match-ups with five area teams: Fessenden, Carrington, Maddock, Four Winds and Harvey.

The team traveled to Carrington on Saturday, Sept. 21 to compete in a tournament.
