State of North Dakota receives $1.47 million to modernize 911 Services

The U.S. Department of Commerce and Department of Transportation have awarded North Dakota’s 911 system $1,473,805 to help 911 call centers (also known as Public Safety Answering Points or PSAPs) upgrade to Next Generation 911 (NG911) capabilities.

North Dakota’s 22 PSAPs have been in the process of transitioning to NG911 over the past five years.
