Fun fall events slated for Saturday

This Saturday, Oct. 5 there is fun in store all day long in New Rockford. First, Sarah Smith Warren's photography studio plays host to the Annual Fall Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shoppers will find a variety of treasures, from Avon and Scentsy products to fresh produce and homemade craft items.

John Scanson of New Rockford has been hard at work this summer growing pumpkins for kids to enjoy. Now the crop is in, and all are invited for his pumpkin giveaway from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. There are over 100 pumpkins in various sizes from which to pick. The fun will take place at John's Pumpkin Ranch (pictured at left) located two blocks south of the corner of Second Street and Third Avenue South in New Rockford. Watch for balloons!

End the day with DPRCA's Oktoberfest. The annual fundraising event starts at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and this year there's much more in store than food, drinks and music. Read all about "The Crazy Bingo Show" on page A2.
