Dr. Frank Walker elected president of North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association

Dr. Walker has been inducted as the new president of the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association (NDVMA). He began his duties as president at the 114th NDVMA annual membership meeting held in Minot on Aug. 9 and will serve a one year term. Prior to becoming president of the NDVMA he has served over 15 years on the NDVMA board of directors.

Dr. Walker is the owner of Flickertail Veterinary Service at New Rockford and operates a cow-calf business. He has been a licensed veterinarian for over 40 years in North Dakota and has previously served on State and National boards including the North Dakota Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, the American Association of Veterinary State Boards, and the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education.

The North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association is a non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to the profession of veterinary medicine and the interests of veterinarians, their clients and patients. Founded in 1892 and officially recognized as a state association in 1903, the NDVMA has a long history of supporting and advancing the veterinary profession.

NDVMA represents the broad spectrum of veterinary medicine, including, but not limited to small, large animal, exotic, bovine and equine practitioners, and those veterinarians working in research, academic and government capacities. The NDVMA is comprised of a membership of 290 veterinarians and an eleven member board of directors.
