Lifesavers in the Park set for Tuesday

Volunteer members of the Community Ambulance Service of New Rockford are gearing up once again for their annual Lifesavers in the Park event.

In addition to preparing a free will meal complete with hot dogs and hamburgers, Lifesavers in the Park also offers community members the opportunity to meet emergency medical providers, learn more about the field of healthcare and have a lot of fun.

This year's event will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at Centennial (Gazebo) Park in

downtown New Rockford from 6 – 8 p.m.

Those who join in the event can receive blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, learn sidewalk CPR, and visit with booths representing various health organizations.

The Valley MedFlight Helicopter will be onsite for tours. There will also be games for the kids and the ever-popular dunking tank.

Free will donations will be accepted and will benefit the Community Ambulance

Service of New Rockford.
