Early runs enable SNR to stay alive at State B

Either way, someone's "Sox" were about to get knocked off.

Five early runs may have lulled the SNR Babe Ruth Black Sox into a false sense of complacency against the Surrey Blue Sox, but they made the plays late when it was most paramount.

In their first game in the loser's bracket after a tough one-run loss to LaMoure the day before, the 'Sox took the field for the Sunday morning opener opposite the runners-up from District 1.

Early misplays led to a opening run for Surrey, but the SNR batters made Blue Sox pitcher Brady Feller pay for some opening wildness.
