Obituary: Goodwin Helseth

Goodwin (Goody) Joseph Helseth, 75, of Carrington, N.D., passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019.

Helseth was born March 31, 1944, in Fargo, N.D., to Goodwin and Helen (Rust) Helseth.

He grew up in rural Glyndon, Minn., and graduated from Glyndon High School in 1962. He attended both NDSU and Moorhead State. He worked in the banking industry for 25 years and the trucking industry for 21 years.

He is survived by his five children: Karen (Jason) Bindas, Bloomington, Minn., Nancy (Chris) Sorensen, Lakeville, Minn., Brent (Jenna) Helseth, Sheyenne, N.D., Sarah (Taylor) Williams, Fargo, N.D., Trisha (Sean) Schuler, Grand Forks, N.D.; 11 grandchildren; sisters: Sharon (Wayne) Mazanec, Brentwood, Calif., and Carol Verochio, Orting, Wash.

Goodwin is preceded in death by his parents.
