Last week: Memorial Day weekend, Amanda Hegland, Fallyn and Piper were in Sioux Falls, S.D. to watch Amanda’s niece and cousin compete in the South Dakota State Track Meet. Following the track meet, Amanda and the girls went to Gettysburg, S.D. to spend the rest of the weekend with Amanda’s family. The weekend of June 12, Jake, Amanda, Fallyn and Piper were in Carrington for the Dairy open house. The Heglands were camping at Wylie Park in Aberdeen, S.D., the weekend of June 8-9. Also camping were Jarvis and Patty Hegland, Mike and Jill Zietz and their children, Emma, Rosa, Silas and Logan and Mike’s parents, John and Myrta Zietz. A visit to Storybook Land was also enjoyed while there.

This week: Doris Griffin traveled to Bismarck Monday and stayed overnight to attend an early Tuesday morning Social Services informational meeting regarding upcoming changes in the Social Services system.

Colleen Graue and her boys, Thomas and Matthew, helped Doris with some yard work one evening this week. Doris volunteered at the Sullys Hill Visitor Center on Sunday.

James Nelson was a guest at David and Bonnie Nelson’s home to celebrate Father’s Day.

Keith and Nancy Tweten of Grand Island, Neb., along with Katie and Jackson visited Grandpa James last weekend.

Grace Ihry of Fargo, visited the Buehler family for a few days during the week. Hunter Buehler traveled to Minneapolis with friends over the weekend to watch the Twins play. Breana and Elisa Buehler and Joe Wentz and pets, Bacardi and Whiskey of Bismarck visited Todd and Nadley over the weekend to celebrate Father’s Day. Beau, Bria and Brittin joined the family Saturday and Sunday for dinner. Mike and Sherry Boehmer visited the Buehler family Sunday afternoon.

Jakob Schmid spent the weekend with his parents, Tom and Pam. Tom, Pam, JD, Jakob, Howard and Helen and Doug Schmid celebrated Father’s Day with supper at Harriman’s in Maddock Saturday night.

Lester Roberts, accompanied by Les and Janice Ferry enjoyed Arts in the Park in Devils Lake Tuesday evening. Saturday, Lester was in New Rockford on business. Chad Getscher and Lester enjoyed dinner at Stump Lake on Sunday.

Wednesday evening, Dave and Linda Madson along with Melodie, Kennedee and McKenzee Madson were supper guests at the home of Michael and Amy Jacobson. Friday evening, Carrie Madson spent the evening at Dave and Linda’s and was an overnight guests at Melodie’s home. Saturday, the Madson’s and Amy had a garage sale and due to the rainy, windy, cold day, will have the sale again this coming Saturday and hope for a sunny, lovely day. Linda’s cousin, Joni Duckworth of Larimore, Mr. Syl Brown, and Melodie were coffee guests at Linda and Dave’s Saturday afternoon. Dave, Linda and great granddaughter, McKenzee, went to Jamestown to celebrate Father’s Day at the home of Cathy and Shawn Caulfield. Other family members who were there included Brandon and Sarah Caulfield and their children, Paige and Easton; Jerad and Sammi Caulfield and their children, Ashton and Ryker; Carrie Madson and Paul Prince; and Shawn’s parents, Pat and Kay Caulfield.

John and Donna Grann spent the weekend in Bowman with Johnny watching him compete in Tie-down roping and Team roping at the North Dakota State High School Rodeo Finals. Sunday, Ben and Brittany Grann went to visit Brittany’s dad in Bathgate for Father’s Day.
