New Rockford and area folks extend sympathy to the family of Arland Clelland.

American Legion Auxiliary met Monday evening at the American Legion Post #30. Shirley Packard, Bev Bjornson and Merita Aldayel served this last meeting. The auxiliary will not meet until Sept. 2019.

Son Larry called Martin and Eloise Lucht from his home in Virginia Sunday, checking on the newsworthy cold weather here. Larry had been getting their pool ready for the summer.

Thursday, Ken and Marvis Holte drove to Jamestown where they took birthday greetings to daughter, Fayette and visited over coffee and special cake. The Holte’s did some shopping and returned to their home where they celebrated Ken’s birthday. Cody and daughter Amanda Bickett and Izzy brought special greetings to dad.

Wednesday visitors at the Leo and Janet Laube’s home were niece Lisa and Keith Paulson from Gully, Minn.

Calvin Packard and mom Shirley were in Carrington on business Tuesday. Sunday, they tended loved ones graves.

Friday found Martin and Eloise Lucht keeping an appointment at the Eye Clinic in Devils Lake. They also enjoyed a visit over lunch at the Glen and Ardy Salisbury home and brief stoppers at the Jay and Heidi Schnieder home.

Thursday visitor at the Shirley Packard home was Tida Lesmeister. Tida is from Florida and was enjoying visiting family and friends in the area.

Marvis Holte enjoyed a recent phone call from her sister, Ardy Yates from DeValles Bluff, Ark. All is good with Ardy and Husband Bob, despite being in an area tornado watch.
