Many families, friends and old country neighbors attended a prayer service Friday evening and the funeral service Saturday morning for Neola Richter. Both were in New Rockford at the First Lutheran Church.

Last Monday, Dave and Cheryl Gabbert and Shirley Packard drove to Duelm, Minn., where they met Craig Packard of Anoka, Minn., and enjoyed a visit over some mighty fine pasta at Jim and Jack’s restaurant, an establishment that specializes in pasta dishes. The meal was Craig’s treat. Tuesday, Dave and Cheryl drove Shirley to St. Cloud, where she took the train to Devils Lake, where son Calvin met her and returned to New Rockford.

Janet Laube was among those who attended the funeral service for Ivan Foster Friday, at First Lutheran Church in New Rockford.

Martin and Janelle Koepplin and John and Kathleen Lee were among those who not only attended, but enjoyed the Elementary Spring Concert at Carrington’s school gym, Thursday evening. They had grandchildren in the awesome program.

Thursday visitor at the Shirley Packard home was her nephew Todd Harrison.

Candy Jensen enjoyed a recent phone chat with sister-in-law, Cora Koepplin.
