Obituary: Ivan Foster

Ivan Orrin Foster, 88, of New Rockford passed away at the VA Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. The funeral will be at a future date at First Lutheran Church in New Rockford, N.D.

Ivan was born January 11, 1931, in New Rockford, the son of Kenneth and Gladys (Fossum) Foster. Ivan entered the United States Navy in 1955. He was united in marriage to Marlys Hein in Hartley, Iowa. He purchased Foster Auto from his father in 1963 where he worked until he retired.

Ivan is survived by his two sons; Calvin Foster, Fargo, N.D.; and Carter (Pilar) Foster, Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two brothers, Robert and Scott, and sister, Shirley Lee.
