Betty Rushfeldt was a guest at Sharon Rance’s home in Devils Lake last weekend. Tuesday evening, Sharon, Everett and Gloria Rance, Wayne and Donna Rance and their children, Breonna, Colby and Braxton celebrated Betty’s birthday at Sharon’s home. Happy belated birthday, Betty.

Lester Roberts was in Carrington on Wednesday. On the way home, he stopped in New Rockford and had lunch. Friday, Lezlee Thorson and Bob Hoffart and Chad Getscher visited Lester. Lezlee and Lester traveled to Grand Forks on Saturday. They enjoyed lunch with Peggy Kindom. Following their lunch, they visited Megan Thorson and Aiden. Sunday visitors at Lester’s were Roger, Chad and Bob and Lezlee.

John Grann went to Leeds on Saturday to watch the Rockets boys basketball team play Benson County. Donna Grann worked in the office at the Kenner bull sale on Saturday. Lacey Grann was a barrel racing contestant at the rodeo in Bismarck over the weekend. Ben and Brittany Grann visited Ben’s uncle, Paul Grann at his farm by Perth, N.D. on Friday.

Linda Madson accompanied Melodie, Kennedee and McKenzee Madson to Fargo-Moorhead on Saturday. On Sunday morning, the Devils Lake Ice Skating Club was represented by “The Shooting Stars” synchro team at the synchro skating competition held at the Moorhead Sports Arena. Kennedee and McKenzee are members of the team. The team got third place in their division.That is an accomplishment since this is their first competition. The girls all received medals. Also there to support Kennedee and McKenzee were their aunt and uncle, Cathy and Shawn Caulfield of Jamestown and aunt, Sammy Caulfield of Casselton. There were a number of skating clubs represented from surrounding states. We are now looking forward to the annual ice show in Devils Lake in March.
