Obituary: Rose Leapaldt

Rose Leapaldt, 83, Carrington, N.D., formerly of Woodworth, N.D. passed away on Jan. 19, 2019. The funeral service was Jan. 24, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Woodworth. The Rev. Robert Hill officiated, special music was provided by David Morlock. Casket bearers were: Derrek Leapaldt, Morgan Anderson, Christina Lewis, Amanda Bauman, JR Hoppe and Kyle Leapaldt.

Rose was born Nov. 18, 1935 to David and Bertha (Schneider) Guthmiller in Petersville Township, Kidder County, N.D. She grew up and attended school in Petersville Township. She married Delmer Leapaldt on Sept. 24, 1961.

For many years Rose worked at Holy Family Nursing Home as a CNA. Rose was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was a 4-H leader, Sunday School teacher, member of American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and Homemakers.

She is survived by her husband; three children: Bryan (Gay) Leapaldt of Leeds, N.D., Denise (Harley) Hallwachs of Pettibone, N.D., Wesley (Deb) Leapaldt of Woodworth; sister in law, Geraldine Guthmiller; six grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
