College: Making the list- Schools honor area students for Fall 2018

Students from various colleges and universities have been named to the president’s list or dean’s list for the 2018 fall academic semester. In order to be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher and be enrolled full time with at least 12 college credits.

Student honors are listed individually and categorized by college or university, then by hometown. Each students’ academic major is also listed when available.

North Dakota State University

Many area students were among the 4,125 placed on the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester. NDSU excels in areas of innovative and technology-driven research, with more than $153 million in annual research expenditures as reported in the National Science Foundation’s Higher Education Research and Development Survey. NDSU has been listed in the Top 100 public research universities in the United States for research and development in agricultural sciences, psychology and social sciences, based on reported research expenditures.

Minnesota State Community and Technical College

Minnesota State Community and Technical College serves more than 8,000 students in credit courses each year in 80 career and liberal arts programs online and on campus in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena.

Haley Risovi, of New Rockford, was among the 636 students named to the president’s list for the 2018 Fall semester.

University of Jamestown

The University of Jamestown was established in 1883 and is ranked as a top tier regional school in US News and World Report and a top Midwestern school in The Princeton Review.
