Berglund scores a scholarship

Lake Region State College is visiting six regional high schools during the basketball season and holding a three-point contest for $250 scholarship to the college. The college also is giving away other door prizes at these events for game goers of all ages.

The first of these events was held Dec. 10 in New Rockford. Gretchen Berglund, (a senior at NR-S), won the three-point contest and $250 scholarship. She will now compete for $1,000 scholarship at the Royals' final home game in February.

Lake Region State College will hold similar events in Langdon, Minnewaukan, Cando, Dakota Prairie and Carrington.
