Metigoshe Ministries to host annual Nights of Christmas celebration

Are you hoping the Christmas season never ends? Ready to relax and take some time to celebrate the season? If you answered “Yes,” please join us for the 48th Annual Nights of Christmas with Metigoshe Ministries on Dec. 27- 29 beginning at 7 p.m. each evening at the Lakeside Christian Center. It is a place where the “treetops glisten” and “all is merry and bright!”

Again this year, the returning summer staff of Camp Metigoshe will be joined by special guests for a combined Christmas program of music, laughter and worship, highlighted by the beautiful sight of thousands of lights hanging in the trees. With the hectic pace of the Christmas holiday behind us, we will slow down to appreciate the gift God gave us in a manger in Bethlehem.

Plan to join us for one or all three nights this Christmas season. No tickets required; each evening a free-will offering will be taken for the continuing ministry of the camp.

Special musical guests:

•Dec. 27 - Red River Worship brings an incredible sound to our stage as we try something new for Nights of Christmas in 2018! We will gather around tables for a night of “Cider and Song” – both listening and singing along with these talented musicians from Fargo-Moorhead and Alexandria, Minn. Red River Worship includes Nolan Weisz, Jon Dahl, Eric Addington and Camp Metigoshe alum Kevin Stenstrom.

•Dec. 28 - Thistle & Lace is husband and wife, Jon and Ashley McLemore. They are joined by Bradley McClendon in an “eclectic, acoustic trio that combines spot-on harmonies with music from the past eight decades,” with a special emphasis on folk and country sounds. You might recognize Jon as one of the a capella vocalists from the group Street Corner Symphony – they were runners-up in the second season of NBC’s “The Sing-Off” in 2010. Thistle & Lace has toured throughout the United States and has a show that you are sure to love!

•Dec. 29 - Colleen Reinhardt is a talented pianist and singer from Bismarck. She is an accomplished church musician who also has performed widely both as a part of groups and as a solo artist. You may have heard Colleen at the 2018 Hostfest in Minot.

Too Old to Stand is a talented group of Bottineau-area musicians who have been getting audiences on their feet since 2016. They cover a wide range of musical styles and have performed widely throughout North Dakota. Band members include Shane Parsons, Luther Olson, Tim Hines, Brady Michel and Metigoshe Ministries’ own site and facilities director, Robert Marum.
